This privacy policy applies to the Call history backup & restore app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Stylish Fonts, Keyboard & Symbols (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Important: The App does not upload or transmit your SMS, call logs or contact content to our servers. Backups created with the App remain on the user's device unless the user chooses to share them manually.

Data the App accesses

The App requests access to the following device features and data for the explicit, user-initiated purposes described below:

SMS (messages) — Read access to display, export (XML/PDF) and restore SMS messages. Writing/restoring messages is performed only while the App is temporarily set as the default SMS app (user consent required). The App does not send SMS on the user’s behalf.
Call Log — Read and write access to create backups and restore call history (XML/PDF). Access is used only for user-initiated backup/restore actions.
Contacts — Read access for displaying contact names and for including contact names in exports (PDF/XML). The App does not share contact data externally.
Storage / Files — Used to save generated backup files (XML/PDF) on Android 10 and earlier. On Android 11+ the App uses system-managed storage access (Scoped Storage / MediaStore) and typically does not request the legacy storage permission.
Device & network permissions (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) — required for showing advertisements and for ad network communication only.
Advertising ID (Ad ID) — Collected by third-party advertising SDKs (for example, Google Mobile Ads / AdMob) to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. The App itself does not use the Advertising ID for other purposes.

Why the App needs these permissions

All permissions requested by the App are strictly for the user-visible functionality:

Backup (XML / PDF) — The user can export SMS, call logs and selected contacts to files stored on the device.
Restore — The user may restore SMS and call logs from previously created backups. To write SMS into the system SMS provider the App will request to become the default SMS app temporarily (Android RoleManager or ACTION_CHANGE_DEFAULT UI). Restoration occurs only while the App is the default SMS app and only with the user’s consent.
Statistics — SMS and Call statistics (counts of sent/received messages, call statistics) are computed locally on the device to present reports and export them to PDF.
Ads — The App displays ads using an ad network SDK. Ad-related data collection is governed by the ad network's privacy policy.

Temporary default SMS app behavior

When the user chooses to restore SMS messages, the App will request to be set as the device's default SMS app using the standard Android system UI (RoleManager or ACTION_CHANGE_DEFAULT). This switch is temporary and explicitly requested by the user to allow restoration. After restoration completes, the App will ask the user to switch back to their previous default SMS app.

While the App holds the default SMS role, it may interact with the SMS provider to insert restored messages. The App will not send messages, block messages, or use the role for any other purpose.

Do we share your data?

No. We do not share or sell your SMS, call logs, contacts, or backups to third parties. The only data that may leave the device is data required by third-party ad SDKs (see the section above). Any explicit share action initiated by the user (for example, sharing a backup file via email) is outside the scope of the App and governed by the receiving app's behavior.

User choices and rights

You control when backups are created and when restores are performed.
You may delete backup files at any time using a file manager or the App's UI (if provided).
You can refuse to set the App as the default SMS app; in that case SMS restore will not be possible.
You can disable personalized ads via device ad settings or limit ad tracking per the ad network’s instructions.

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Application does not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to process your data or provide features.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at support@stylishtext.co and they will respond in a reasonable time.

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (support@stylishtext.co) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
